Bearden Bulldogs Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 6-1 loss to Mount Juliet on Saturday. Mount Juliet took the lead on a single in the second inning.

Mount Juliet got things moving in the second inning. Rice singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Mount Juliet scored four runs in the sixth inning. OsborneFullerton, and Dyer all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Warren was credited with the victory for Mount Juliet. He allowed four hits and one run over seven innings, striking out eight and walking zero.

Cole Poynter took the loss for Bearden Bulldogs Varsity. He surrendered two runs on two hits over four innings, striking out three.

Jacob Balsley led Bearden Bulldogs Varsity with two hits in three at bats.

Rice went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Mount Juliet in hits. Mount Juliet didn’t commit a single error in the field. Osborne had the most chances in the field with eight.
